I remember Bill fondly as I was one of the ones on the corner smoking our "cancer sticks". I also remember having a lot of good times with him. But what I remember most is that Bill was always short (shorter than me and that was rare). We went to the same university, Stevens Point.

One day Bill was small as usual. Then I took off a semester and came back. Bill had grown to over 6 feet tall. I told me he would lay awake at night because his bones hurt so much from his growth spurt. Imagine going from 5'7" to 6'1" in several months. 

The last I heard he had graduated with a Master in Ichthyology and was headed to parts unknow to start his life. 

I am so sad to hear he is gone, he will be missed.
